FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. Do I have
the right to take my car to the shop of my
choice?
Yes - Only you may select the repair
facility.
2. Do I need to contact more than one shop
for an estimate?
No - Only one estimate from the
shop of your choice is required of you. Securing any
additional estimate would be the obligation of your insurance
company. The Bureau of Automotive Repair requires you to be
given a written estimate before starting repairs.
3.
Should my insurance company be notified before
repairs?
Yes - Your policy states that if
requested, you must file a sworn proof of loss, exhibit the
damaged property and submit to examination under
oath.
4. Can my Insurer require me to use
non-original equipment manufactured (non-OEM) replacement
crash parts for the repair of my car?
No - No
Insurer shall require the use of non-OEM replacement crash
parts in the repair of an automobile unless:
- The parts are at least equal to the original equipment
manufacturer parts in terms of quality, safety, fit and
performance; and
- Insurers specifying the use of non-OEM replacement crash
parts shall pay the cost of any modifications to the parts
which may become necessary to effect the repair; and
- Insurers specifying the use of non-OEM replacement crash
parts warrant that all such parts are of like kind, quality,
safety, fit and performance as OEM replacement crash
parts.
5. Can my Insurer require, direct,
suggest or recommend that my automobile be repaired at a
specific shop?
No - Unless the referral is
expressly requested by you; or you have been informed in
writing of the right to select the repair facility;
and
The insurer that elects to repair a vehicle
directs, suggests or recommends that a specific repair shop be
used, shall cause the damaged vehicle to be restored to its
condition prior to the loss at no additional costs to you
other than as stated in the policy or as otherwise allowed by
law.
6. Do you accept checks, credit cards or
ATM?
We accept the following payment methods: All
major credit cards, personal, company, insurance checks, ATM,
etc. Please call us for more information.
7. Do you
waive deductibles?
Deductible cannot be waived. To
waive a deductible means to prepare an estimate charging for
work not performed on the vehicle.
8. How long will
the repairs on my vehicle take?
Depending on the
size of your repair and after a visual inspection of those
repairs, our customer service manager will be able to give you
an educated estimation of time your vehicle will be at
Lindstrom's Auto Body. Upon drop off vehicles with parts and
insurance clearance are started as soon as possible.
Disassembly will show any unseen damage. This "hidden" damage
is handled as a supplement. The insurance company and owner
are contacted for approval before work begins. After the
bodywork is completed, painting begins, followed by reassembly
and, if necessary, road testing. Finally, the vehicle is
cleaned and detailed in-house before it is returned to its
owner. Lindstrom's Auto Body will do everything in our power
to repair your vehicle as safety and quickly as possible and
we will keep you updated throughout the process.

What type of vehicles do you repair?
We repair 90's
model and late foreign and domestic cars, pickups, vans SUVs.
Some older and/or specialty vehicle may be repairable,
however, may require more specialized attention on parts,
etc.
10. Can I get a ride home when I drop off my
car?
Yes - we can help with local area drop-offs,
but check your insurance policy for alternate transportation
coverage that provide for a rental car.
11. Do you
provide a rental car while my vehicle is being
repaired?
No - but we will be very happy to assist
you in finding a rental car. We have special arrangements with
some rental companies.
12. Will the parts be ordered
before I drop off my car for repairs?
Typically the
parts are ordered once we have your approval or the approval
of the insurance company. Typically the majority of the parts
are in upon vehicle dropoff.
13. Do you guarantee
your work?
Lindstrom's Auto Body guarantees all
repairs for workmanship for as long as you own the
vehicle.
